Dr. Dell holds a Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D.) and is a Licensed Psychologist practicing in the Princeton and Pennington, New Jersey area. His clinical work integrates Jungian depth psychology, cognitive-behavioral approaches, psychodynamic treatment, and evolutionary psychology into a framework built for the demands of modern high-stakes professional life.

Doctoral Research

Dr. Dell's 2007 doctoral dissertation, Displaced Aggression as Related to the Explosive Psychopath, analyzed the case of Hadden Clark as a documented example of the explosive psychopath — studying his psychological history and the pathway by which he evolved into a cannibalistic serial killer. This was case-study research drawn from the public record and forensic literature, not direct clinical contact, but it required sustained, rigorous engagement with one of the most extreme documented expressions of dysregulated aggression and psychopathy.

That research became the foundation of everything he teaches. The Dark Triad — narcissism, Machiavellianism, psychopathy — are not aberrations to be feared. They are dimensions of human personality that, understood clearly and governed deliberately, become instruments of precision, leadership, and self-mastery.

Clinical & Forensic Experience

Dr. Dell's forensic work began during his doctoral training and continued into his early clinical career. As a Forensic Diagnostician at the Montgomery County Youth Center in Norristown, PA, he conducted forensic assessments of minors to assist the court in sentencing and treatment decisions. As a Clinical Diagnostician at the Rowan Child & Family Assessment Clinic in Glassboro, NJ, he provided psychodiagnostic testing to support Child Protective Services determinations on custody and parental rights. From 2005 to 2006, as a Forensic Mental Health Clinician at Garden State Correctional Facility in Yardville, NJ, he provided therapy and assessment for inmates with serious mental illness and dual diagnoses, and led consultations and quality-improvement efforts within the facility.

Across these placements — sitting across from adolescents, families, and incarcerated adults at the most difficult points in their lives — Dr. Dell built something no textbook can provide: a ground-level understanding of how Cluster B personality traits actually operate, how they are used, how they are weaponized, and how they are governed by the men and women who choose to govern themselves.

He left that world not because it broke him — but because the men he most wanted to help were not behind bars. They were in boardrooms. In courtrooms. In executive suites. Carrying weight that most people cannot comprehend, with no psychological framework adequate to what they actually face.
